DESCRIPTION
The southern coast of the Kola Peninsula. There is no longer a Polar night, there is no tundra and the trees are much higher than in the north of the region. The village of Varzuga, one of the main attractions, looks like an idyllic Central Russian settlement on the bend of the river.
Another picturesque and one of the oldest on the Kola peninsula settlements - Umba, is located on the shores of the White Sea.
During our tour we will reach Kuzomen with its sandy braids and wild horses.
On the way back we will definitely visit places where amethysts used to be mined. And if we were there at low tide, we could meet another natural wonder - the White Sea glendonites. These are bizarre stones, which under to certain conditions are formed at the places where fresh water flows into the sea.
The tour begins in Murmansk or Kandalaksha. We will travel Along the Tersky coast more than 600 km in both directions, a significant part of which are dirt roads. The optimal tour time is 2 nights, which can be spent either in rented accommodation in Varzuga and Umba, or, if desired, in tents. These are incredibly beautiful colorful places that will remain in your memory forever!
